Dey Street Books, an imprint of the William Morrow Group at HarperCollins Publishers, will publish “Find Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life,” the first book from multiplatinum-selling, award-winning singer, songwriter, fitness and lifestyle entrepreneur and Oklahoma native Carrie Underwood.
The book is due out March 3.
Underwood is a true multi-format, multimedia superstar. The Checotah native has sold more than 64 million records worldwide and recorded 26 No. 1 singles, 13 of which she co-wrote, and has gone on to win seven Grammys, 11 Billboard Music Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 20 CMT Music Awards, seven CMA Awards, 13 American Music Awards, and many other honors.
Fans inspired by Underwood’s music not only eagerly anticipate each new album, they also closely follow what she does to stay fit, tracking her workouts and healthy eating tips on social media. As the founder and lead designer of the popular lifestyle and fitness brand CALIA by Carrie Underwood, she believes that fitness is a lifelong journey, and it’s not about perfection. Her Fit52 program, which she shares with readers in this book, is a sustainable, common-sense approach to staying active, eating well, and looking as beautiful as you feel—52 weeks a year, according to a news release.
Throughout “Find Your Path,” she opens up about her personal journey towards optimal health, from her passion for sports as a kid, to the pressure to look perfect and fit the mold as she launched her career after winning “American Idol,” to eventually discovering the importance of balance and the meaning of true health. For Underwood, being fit isn’t about crash diets or a workout routine that you’re going to dread. It’s about healthy choices and simple meals that you can put together from the ingredients in your local grocery store, and making the time, every day, to move, to love your body, and to be the best version of yourself.
“Fitness and healthy living have been a passion of mine for years,” says Underwood in a statement. “It took time to find my way and navigate my wellness journey, and this book will provide tips and tools to help the reader find what is practical and sustainable in his or her everyday life for all 52 weeks of the year, and help lead them toward a positive lifestyle.”
