Celebrity News: Merit award for tennis ace – Euro Weekly News

TENNIS player Rafa Nadal has added one more prize to his extensive list of awards, although, on this occasion, it had little to do with tennis. Last week, the Mallorcanreceived the Silver Cross on the merit of the Civil Guard thanks to his collaboration with their project to promote the National Interuniversity League of Challenges in Cyberspace.
During his acceptance speech, Nadal, who has just given his sixth Davis Cup to Spain, said that this recognition is for him “a true honour.” He also thanked “the great work that the Civil Guard does every day.” In this regard, he said that “when we see you, citizens feel safer and better accompanied.”
The official Instagram account of the Civil Guard has echoed this delivery, which has taken place at the headquarters of the Balearic Islands Corps.
“The Civil Guard has given @rafaelnadal the Silver Cross to the Merit of the Body, for their support and collaboration to make a safer world on the Internet.
It is a pride that one of our greatest athletes is by our side.
Thank you champion!”
