Reader question: Can you advise readers on what restaurants and bars will be serving food on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?
Answer: I’ll assemble a list and run it in print next Tuesday.
To restaurant owners and managers: shoot me an email ([email protected]) by the end of the day Friday with hours and I’ll include your eateries on the list. If it’s a buffet, include the prices you charge for adults and children.
When I’ve done this Christmas restaurant rundown in the past, I’ve found Asian eateries, a few restaurants inside hotels, a bowling alley, several downtown bars and a pizza place were open on Christmas itself. A few nicer restaurants had Christmas Eve hours.
Here are a couple to start you out:
•The Orchard, inside the Red Lion Hotel Paper Valley, 333 W. College Ave. in downtown Appleton, has a Christmas Day brunch from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The buffet includes seafood, meat carving stations, flaming crepes and a chocolate fountain. Adults are charged $26.95, children 8 to 12 are $13.95 and children 3 to 7 are $7.95. The hotel adds tax and 18% service charge. Reservations: 920-733-8000, ext 1603.
•Lombardi’s Steakhouse, also inside the Red Lion, is open Christmas night from 4-8 p.m.
