Not to be dramatic or anything, but Gossip Girl shaped a lot of my personal style growing up. Between the way the characters styled their uniforms (I wore a uniform from second to 12th grade) to the many different brands and designers I was introduced to throughout the series, when I think of this show, I think of the fashion more than the drama, and that’s saying a lot. Yes, much of the fashion and styling seem dated now, but every once in a while, I like to take a look back at some of the outfits from the show to see how I can re-create them in the present time.
That’s exactly what I did in an effort to uncover as much winter outfit inspiration as possible. There is just something about my winter wardrobe that leaves me feeling a tad uninspired more often than not, so turning to things like Instagram, street style, and now, Gossip Girl help get my wheels turning.
