Moving plans

Fox World Travel has been in the Fox River Mall seemingly forever.

That will change this week.

The travel agency’s location in the former Sears wing will close at 5 p.m. Thursday.

“We will open Friday at our brand-new office across from Woodman’s and Culver’s, next to Breadsmith,” said Sonjia Wenger, travel consultant.

The new address is 690 N. Westhill Boulevard in Grand Chute, and phone remains 920-739-9779.

The office started as Uni Travel on the mall’s second floor, above the food court, shortly after the mall opened in 1984. Since then, it’s been in five different mall spots and merged with Fox World Travel.

“It’s been a very successful location for us,” said Bard Dahl, vacation travel consultant and daughter of original Uni Travel owner Vic Mueller. “This will be a more convenient location for our clients with more accessible parking.”

Coming announced

The Fox Cities is getting a dedicated cycling studio in late December. To date, indoor group cycling classes have been taught in local gyms.

Evolution Cycle Studio, or Evo for short, is setting up at 1350 W. American Drive in Fox Crossing, near the corner of County CB. It’s in the same building as the Xe54 wine bar.

The terms commonly used for indoor group classes using stationary bikes — spin and spinning — are trademarked by one exercise bike maker. So the generic terms used instead are cycle and cycling.

Owner Kenzi Weidman is starting this venture as a new independent business, not a franchise.

To see more about the bikes, technology and how it works, go to evocyclestudio.com or Evolution Cycle Studio on Facebook. The first 100 who sign up for memberships get founding member pricing.
