Three questions that have two firm answers:

Reader question: Do you have any information as to the status of Baker Pool and Spa on 700 S. Westland Dr.? The store doesn’t seem to be open. I’ve left messages on their voicemail without response. The greeting says they will be back on October 28. Now it says the message memory is full. I’ve also stopped at the store during business hours and no one is there. I ordered and paid for a spa cover there several weeks ago and I would like to pick it up.

Answer: This store’s status is a question mark. As of Monday, Baker Pool Spa and Fitness’ outgoing phone message said it will be closed until Tuesday, Oct. 29. The message hasn’t been updated in two weeks. It says callers can send an email, which I did on Nov. 8. There was no response. The store was dark Monday, during posted open hours, with no indication when it will reopen.

If the business doesn’t reopen or respond to you with information about your purchase, your option would be to contact your credit card company and dispute the charge. Check with your credit card company to find out if there is a time limit to ask for a charge to be reversed.

Reader question: Looks like the scrubs store at the Fox River Mall has closed?

Answer: Looks like it. The store called ScrubsLove was emptied out on Monday. It had been in the former Younkers wing. I left messages for the company, but didn’t get a call back Monday. If anyone from the company responds later and indicates that the shop is reopening elsewhere, that information will be in a future Buzz column.

Reader question: There is a new Kwik Trip going in at the entrance to WG&R. Will the Kwik Trip on the corner at 41 remain open or will that one close?

Answer: The quick answer is that it will close.

The new Kwik Trip you mention “at the entrance to WG&R” is the new construction at the corner of West Wisconsin Avenue and Westhill Boulevard.

It is scheduled to open around Christmas.

After it opens, the existing Kwik Trip, a block away at the intersection of Interstate 41, will close.

That location was made inaccessible to westbound traffic by a new median. The property will be sold for redevelopment.
