The Buzz: Make reservations now for Thanksgiving dining in area restaurants – Appleton Post Crescent

Thanksgiving is late this year, on Nov. 28, but that’s no excuse to drag your feet on reservations. Some places will fill up quickly. Plus, there are fewer choices this year than last year. 

I asked restaurants to send in dining information, and here’s a rundown of Thanksgiving Day dining-out options.

• Colonial House Supper Club, Freedom: Buffet 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Adults’ price, $15.99; children ages 6-10, $10; ages 3-5, $6. Reservations: 920-788-2622

• DoubleTree by Hilton, Neenah. Buffet 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in ballroom. Adults, $20; children ages 4 to 12, $10. Automatic 18 percent gratuity. Reservations required: 920-725-8441

• Hahn-a-Lula Resort, Fremont. Buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Adults, $16; kids’ prices are $1.60 per year up to age 10. Reservations required: 920-446-3245

• Liberty Hall, Kimberly. Buffet 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Adults, $18.95; children $1.50 per year. Reservations: 920-731-0164

• Lombardi’s Steakhouse, inside the Red Lion Hotel Paper Valley, Appleton. Serving 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Per person: $42, plus tax and 18 percent gratuity. Reservations required: 920-380-9390

• Michiels Bar & Grill, Menasha. Buffet from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Adults, $18.50; children through age 10, $1 per year. Reservations: 920-722-7885

• Red Lion Hotel Paper Valley, Appleton. Buffet 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Adults, $23.95; children ages 8 to 12, $14.95; children ages 3 to 7, $7.95. Reservations: 920-733-8000, ext. 1603

• The Red Ox, Appleton. Serving off dinner and holiday menus (not a buffet) from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Can seat groups of six or fewer people. Reservations required: 920-830-4121. To-go orders accepted if made up to 72 hours in advance.

• Romy’s Nitingale, Black Creek. Buffet 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Adults, $15 including tax; children ages 6 to 9, $5 including tax; children 5 and younger, $3.50. No reservations needed for dine-in. From 3-4 p.m., will serve only to-go orders for pick-up. For to-go orders, call 920-984-3631
