This week’s serving of Broad Street Buzz content you might have missed.
The week started with Philadelphia Flyers forward prospect Joel Farabee highlighting a solid week for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, scoring two goals in his first two AHL games.
General Manager and Team President Chuck Fletcher made another roster move after placing defenseman Andy Welinski on waivers, signing veteran forward Chris Stewart to a one-year, one-way contract.
The Flyers needed their defense to hold strong as they faced a Calgary Flames squad with plenty of talent on the offensive side of the puck.
While their defense wasn’t a problem, Philadelphia couldn’t capitalize on offense due to sloppy play, leading them to a 3-1 loss in Calgary.
