Duchess Meghan has revealed that her and Prince Harry’s five-month-old son, Archie, attended his first playgroup in Windsor earlier today.
As the royal couple chatted to young winners at the annual WellChild Awards in central London, Meghan told one of the brave winners: “I just took Archie for his first [playgroup] class. It was a lot of fun. He loved it.”
Harry and Meghan spoke to Milly Sutherland, 11, and her mom Angela, 50, in a reception for winners of the inspiring awards at the Royal Lancaster hotel in central London. Angela tells BAZAAR.com of her conversation with the duchess, “She said they had loads of fun together. She said it was really good fun.”

There were jokes and laughter as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the mother-daughter duo. Milly even acknowledged fellow redhead Harry, holding up a lock of her red hair and telling him, “Snap.”
Harry giggled and joked, “Can I borrow some? Yours is prettier than mine… and you have more of it.”
Milly and Angela, who hail from Liverpool, also asked the couple whether their son Archie has red locks like his dad. “Meghan said he has [red hair] and Harry said he definitely is [a redhead]; you can see it in his eyebrows,” says Angela.
“Harry said he’d had no hair for five months, but Meghan told him she had taken him to the playgroup and she said there were other children there with the same amount of hair or even less,” Angela added.

Milly received WellChild’s Most Caring Child Award for having cared for and protected her sister Sophie, who had Aicardi Syndrome and tragically passed away in 2018.
“It’s quite emotional because we lost my daughter last year,” Angela said of meeting the couple. “Milly has spent most of her life massively missing out and it’s all about her now.”
Milly also told Harry she was appearing in a pantomime production of Aladdin and told him, “You could be the genie. I’ll paint you blue.”
Harry replied, “So I’ll be blue with ginger hair – that’ll look nice!”
