Reader question: Do you know the status of the new Jimmy John’s building on Ballard Road near McDonald’s? I’m not sure why it is taking so long.

Answer: It will open at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. This location at 3226 N. Ballard Road in Appleton had been held up for months by construction and storm water issues, but is now ready to go.

Reader question: What’s going up by Festival Foods on Oneida?

Answer: It’s a car wash. Menasha Express Wash, owned by Peak Inc., is an automated car wash that will be at 1335 Oneida St. in Menasha. That’s immediately south of Festival Foods’ parking lot. It will also have an indoor pet washing station.

Reader question: What’s going on at the corner of Green Bay Road and Winchester Road in Neenah? They sure are doing a lot of digging. Are they going to be building something there or is it something for the road way?

Answer: This is the coming Speedway truck stop and convenience store that I’ve written about previously, but it bears repeating now that work is underway.

CrossPoint Church sold its property at 670 N. Green Bay Road in Fox Crossing to Speedway late last year. The church relocated to Grand Chute. Speedway started work this summer on the site.
