Brooklyn, N.Y.-based West Elm, a home lifestyle furniture store, will open Wednesday in North Bethesda’s Pike and Rose development. The store will be the East Coast chain’s first in Montgomery County and fourth in the greater Washington, D.C., region.

The chain currently operates locations in the District of Columbia, Fairfax, Va.; Alexandria, Va., and Baltimore according to its website.

The address of the new store will be 951 Rose Ave., suite 104.

The public can attend a grand opening celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday that will feature refreshments from local establishment. Attendees can donate to the anti-poverty organization A Wider Circle.

The North Bethesda location, according to a press release, will feature products from local artisans and host workshops led by local businesses.

“We’re growing our presence throughout the Greater D.C. area to bring residents more convenient ways to discover West Elm’s original designs and take advantage of our in-store offerings, such as free design services,” Andrés (Dru) Ortega, West Elm’s director of public relations & partnerships, said in a press release.
