‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’: Kourtney Kardashian Says Nanny Quit After Penelope ‘Scratched Her in the Face’ – Showbiz Cheat Sheet
Kourtney Kardashian needs a new nanny.
That’s what Kardashian, 40, the oldest sibling in the Kardashian-Jenner family said in a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the family’s reality show in its 17th season.
“I don’t have a nanny anymore,” she said before explaining what happened with her 7-year-old daughter, Penelope “P” Disick, according to E! News. Penelope is one of three kids Kardashian shares with her ex, Scott Disick. They have their daughter, Penelope, and two sons, Mason Disick (the oldest) and Reign Disick (the youngest). Kardashian continued saying that a particular incident with Penelope led to the nanny getting scratched. “She said P was really upset,” Kardashian said referring to the nanny. “She was putting her in the car, and she scratched her in the face. But P can be out of control. I think she almost, like, blacks out and does these wild things,” she added.
Kris Jenner called the incident ‘more serious’
Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, deemed what happened with Penelope “much more serious.”
“I have six kids. Not once in my entire life did anyone ever have a complaint like this,” she said before adding, “We need to take care of this before it gets too far out of control.”
Kardashian didn’t think the scratching was that big of deal, sharing that she used “f***ing slap [her] nannies, like, bam across the face.”
As for punishment, the mother of three said that with Penelope she couldn’t simply take away her toys to teach her a lesson.
“There’s nothing I can take away from [Penelope] physically that she will care about it. Mason I can take [things] away [and] he cares. Penelope doesn’t care. Kids are different,” she said.
An argument with Corey Gamble ensued
This is the same conversation that led to a big argument between Disick and Corey Gamble, Kris’s boyfriend (learn more about Gamble and Kris’s relationship here). It ended with the matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family in tears.
While discussing what happened over dinner, Gamble suggested physical punishment twice to Disick and Kardashian. One thing led to another, and Disick and Gamble were arguing about the possibility of Gamble ever hitting Penelope.
“I’m sorry, but if P scratched me for no reason, I’m whipping her a** and I’ll explain it to y’all later,” Gamble said.
“What? You would whoop Penelope’s a** if she scratched you?” Disick replied.
After exchanging more words, Kardashian made it clear Gamble would never be alone with Penelope, Reign, or Mason again.
Kardashian might’ve turned to her younger sister, Kim Kardashian, for nanny recommendations. The mother of four is said to employ an undetermined number of nannies (possibly one for each child) that cost her and husband, Kanye West, anywhere from $50,000 to $100,000 a month.
