Weekly Buzz: One Flyers RFA Down, One More To Go – Broad Street Buzz
This week’s serving of Broad Street Buzz content you might have missed.
The week kicked off with the Columbus Blue Jackets coming to terms with Restricted Free Agent defenseman Zach Werenski on a new contract extension, and we looked at how it could impact the Philadelphia Flyers own RFA in Ivan Provorov.
Chugging along with our 2019-20 Player Expectation series, Samuel Morin needs to have a strong Training Camp and preseason if he expects to earn the Flyers seventh defenseman spot.

Fletcher announced during the first day of camp that forward Nolan Patrick will be week to week with an upper-body injury, which will likely force the 2017 Second Overall Selection to miss the first and second preseason games of the year.
With a long-term contract deal under his belt, the pressure will be on Provorov now more than ever to bounce-back from his dreadful 2018-19 outing.

The Flyers will be in preseason action this next week, and hopefully, they’ll be able to walk away with a win or two. Also, sign Konecny soon please, Chuck.
