This Podcast Literally Roasts Every Single One of the Hallmark Holiday Movies – Cosmopolitan

If you’re a genuine fan of Hallmark holiday movies (or are just obsessed with hate-watching every cheesy minute), you’re probably already well aware that the network is releasing a whopping 40 movies this season. It’s…a lot to handle. The overwhelming line up almost sounds like a challenge. But like, there’s no way you’re ever going to be able to navigate 40 movies in a season all by your lonesome. Luckily, there’s a podcast that can guide you through it.
Deck the Hallmark (clever name, guys), is a podcast where three dudes watch every damn Hallmark movie each year. Then, they give a brutally honest review. As you can imagine, it gets pretty heated. Because Hallmark movies are one of the most polarizing topics of our time, each of the three hosts has a different opinion on them. Bran loves ’em, Panda seems to have a pretty neutral stance, and Dan totally despises them. Obviously, these differing opinions make for some hilarious conversations.
One listener review said that the hosts are “saying everything we don’t say out loud because we love our beloved Hallmark movies so much, and we’re just too nice.” So, if you’re the kind of person who is totally in love with these movies and looking for a take other than “that was great!” Deck the Hallmark is definitely a must-listen. (But if you’re a person who would like to tear these things to shreds…you’ll probably appreciate it, too.) They also cover other topics, like genius potential movie ideas and interviews with people who are actually involved in the films.
Deck the Hallmark already has over 100 episodes for you to binge through, so there’s no reason for you to wait until October to get in the holiday spirit. Plus, these guys are makin’ content all year long…so once you’re all caught up, you’ll still have plenty to listen to. Dan, Bran and Panda even went on a live tour this summer called Christmas in July. So, yes, this is truly the kind of podcast community you can fully dive into.
PS, if you want to fully strategize your holiday movie consumption, Deck the Hallmark has already created a full schedule for the season. Have fun blowing off all of the stuff you’re actually supposed to do for the rest of 2019.
