Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse actor Hailee Steinfeld has been offered the role of Kate Bishop in Disney+’s upcoming Hawkeye TV series, according to Variety.
The Hollywood trade reports that Steinfeld, who voiced Gwen Stacy in Into the Spider-Verse, has the part if she wants it. She’d be portraying Clint Barton’s protege as an Avenging archer, who, in comic books, is also a founding member of the Young Avengers.
Given Steinfeld’s rising star as an actor – and the prominent role Kate Bishop has played in Marvel Comics – this could signal an important future for Kate Bishop in the MCU.
Hawkeye is scheduled to debut on Disney+ in Fall, 2021.
