It director Andy Muschietti has confirmed he’ll direct Warner Bros.’ long in-development Flash movie, telling Fandango simply “Yup!” when asked if it would be his next film, following It: Chapter Two.

The veteran horror movie director also clarified that his It pedigree likely would not inform the tone of Flash.

“An element of horror? I don’t think so,” Muschietti told Fandango. “What captivated me about the Flash is the human drama in it. The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama [of it]. It’s going to be fun, too. I can’t promise that there will be any horror [elements in it], really, but it’s a beautiful human story.”

Muschietti is the latest director to take on the film following a string of filmmakers who exited the project for a variety of reasons.

The plot of the planned film is still unknown, but it’s presumed to star Ezra Miller in the lead role, reprising his role as Barry Allen from the ill-fated Justice League.

Warner Bros. has not announced a release date for the film.
