The latest newlywed trend is wearing a top with your beloved’s face painted on it.
Zoe Kravitz and her husband Karl Glusman were the first to kick off the fad, debuting their “just married” leather jackets on Instagram, while Gabrielle Union walked the red carpet in a dress covered in her husband Dwayne Wade’s face.
And now, Joe Jonas appears to be following suit. The pop star, 30, stepped out in New York City on Thursday with his wife Sophie Turner, 23, wearing a dark blue denim button-up painted with what seemed to be a portrait of Turner’s “Game of Thrones” character, Sansa Stark.
The artwork on the back of Jonas’ jacket appears to show his wife (or at least someone who bears a striking resemblance to her) posing in a manner reminiscent of the Mona Lisa and done in the style of Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” or Van Gogh’s “The Starry Night.”
The “Sucker” singer paired this homage to his betrothed with a matching dark blue T-shirt, paint-splattered pants, clear glasses with yellow lenses and Dior high-top sneakers ($1,100).
Now it’s up to Turner to return the favor.
