So, your husband Shawn Mendes decked himself out in a billowing see-through shirt and glided over to the MTV VMAs stage to bless us with his ethereal voice and coiffed hair, and people were excited. Like, here’s Queen Latifah, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, and Diplo dancing to his performance:
You simply can’t help but stan!
But Halsey was somewhat amusingly/awkwardly caught checking her phone during Shawn’s performance, which LOL:

To be fair, maybe Halsey was just busy on her phone Googling who TF Sebastian Maniscalco is, ’cause LORD KNOWS WE’RE ALL CURIOUS. Or maybe she was scrolling Instagram! Either way. To be double fair, Halsey was also seen dancing to Shawn’s performance just a few seconds later, so this phone checking was most certainly *not* intentional shade on her part:
