Hilary Duff will reprise the role that took her to teen superstardom in a reboot of “Lizzie McGuire” on Disney’s forthcoming new streaming service, Disney+.
Duff herself was on-hand to deliver the exciting news in Anaheim, where she was greeted by a massive crowd reaction: “The crowd is now deaf from the screaming,” tweeted MCU Cosmic Editor-in-Chief Jeremy Conrad.
Terri Minsky, who created the original “Lizzie McGuire,” will return as showrunner. Minsky was also the creator and showrunner of Disney Channel’s groundbreaking “Andi Mack,” which featured the network’s first openly gay character. Its series finale aired earlier this summer.
