Reader question: Any information on what’s going on with the Shelley’s Supper Club building in Little Chute? Does Shelley still own it or has someone new taken over? There is a big construction dumpster in the back of the building.

Answer: The building at 532 Grand Ave., which formerly housed Shelley’s Supper Club and Jacks or Better in the heart of Little Chute, had gone into foreclosure.

Shelley Cox did not own the building. She rented it from Jorb Enterprises for the time her supper club was open.

The vacant building was purchased in July by Birr Investments for $118,372 from Jorb Enterprises, according to state records.

Birr Investments is owned by Kevin Birr, a realtor and real estate investor.

“We’re remodeling the two apartments upstairs right now,” Birr said. “We haven’t done anything in the ground floor supper club area at this point. It will be for lease.”

The bar and kitchen are still equipped, “so it could very easily be another restaurant,” he said. “But I’d be open to leasing it out to another business. It could be office space.”
