Miley Cyrus Introduces Kaitlynn Carter to Her Mom, Works Overtime to Make Liam Hemsworth Jealous – The Hollywood Gossip
Since they both seem like decent folk, we hoped the Miley Cyrus-Liam Hemsworth divorce would be the sort of amicable parting of ways that’s so rarely seen in Hollywood.
But to be honest, we’re not surprised that it’s turning out to be a big old mess.
(And if we’re being completely candid, the gossip junkies within us are not terribly disappointed.)
As you probably know by now, Miley was very quick to move on, and pics of the singer making out with Kaitlynn Carter surfaced shortly after she announced her split with Liam.
Rumors that Miley and Kaitlynn are dating were quickly shot down by “insiders” who insisted that Cyrus was just enjoying a port-marital fling with Brody Jenner’s most recent ex.
Now, however, it looks as though there might be something to those reports.
According to Page Six, Miley and Kaitlyn spent Saturday afternoon hanging out with Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus.
Insiders say it was a relaxed girls’ day, but the fact remains that Miley took a major step by introducing her new gal pal to her mom — especially since she’s aware of how her relationship with Kaitlynn has affected Liam.
“He was heartbroken and blindsided by those photos,” a source close to Hemsworth tells Page Six.
Clearly, Miley is not terribly concerned about Liam’s feelings — or is she?
A new theory has emerged, holding that Miley is basically using Kaitlynn as a pawn to make Liam jealous.
A separate source tells E! News that Cyrus and Hemsworth have not given up on the possibility of a reconciliation.
And those closest to the couple are hoping it will happen soon.
“Their families have urged them to take some time to breathe before they make any final decisions,” the insider reveals.
“They are both upset about how this has blown up and are both hurting right now,” the source adds.
The informant adds that many were caught off guard by the split, as Miley and Liam “were in a great place” prior to their wedding.
However, “their relationship completely changed” after the wedding, says the source.
Miley got back in the studio and was focused and serious about her new music,” the insider claims, adding that “Liam was continuing to party with his friends.”
“They used to party, but Miley outgrew that phase,” says the tipster.
Right now, Cyrus and Hemsworth are focusing on giving one another space.
The source says they’re “trying not to communicate and really give each other space,” especially since they are “both hurting right now.”
But Miley and Liam have broken up and gotten back together several times before, and it seems both parties are open to the possibility that it might happen again.
“There’s definitely a chance that they will get back together,” says the insider.
“Neither Miley or Liam have decided when they are going to take the next step of filing for divorce, because there is a chance of reconciliation.”
We hope Kaitlynn’s not getting too invested emotionally!
