Lucy Verasamy, 38, got her followers buzzing after she took to the micro-blogging site and made a prediction for the rest of the summer weather following the torrential rain that has swept across the UK. The Good Morning Britain presenter wrote in view of her 160,000 followers: “Everyone knows summer gets going again in September.” Her fans rushed to comment on her startling remark, with many admitting they were putting their trust in the weather forecaster. One person commented: “I trust you on this Lucy.”

It comes after Lucy warned ITV viewers of the weather for the rest of the week during her latest forecast.

The meteorologist told viewers: “It’s all change as the week wears on.

“Further outbreaks of rain expected, little let up. There’s no easy way to say it.”

She continued: “Temperatures are way down on what you’d expect given he time of year.”

The ITV regular revealed temperatures will continue to drop for the rest of the week with “cooler days” and “chilly nights” expected.

“Feeling more like autumn than August, into Thursday a marked improvement,” Lucy explained.

“A touch drier, a bit brighter, a little blustery but temperatures doing so much better.”

Elsewhere, Lucy recently took to Instagram to share various pictures and videos of her latest trip in Norfolk with friends.

She filmed herself running alongside her companions and a dog while sporting tight-fitted gym wear in view of her 106,000 followers.

Lucy then shared a snap of herself on a beach followed by a picture of the clear blue sky and trees, with the caption: “Bare feet and sandy toes.”

The weather forecaster then uploaded a video of herself where she appeared to be letting her hair down on a yacht.

Lucy filmed her idyllic surroundings as she challenged her followers to guess the song being played by a live band in the background.

The ITV star concluded her story with a picture of her alongside two of her friends.
