For most of us, the month of August was off to a great start until a major celebrity bombshell completely took us by surprise.
After just eight months of marriage, news outlets confirmed that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth had decided to call it quits and we couldn’t be more heartbroken.
While many are hopeful the former couple will work things out and rekindle their romance, others are afraid their most recent issues could lead to a divorce.
Cyrus is not looking to file for divorce anytime soon
It is safe to say that many of us thought that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s marriage was going to last a lot longer than it did.
While fans were ecstatic to learn of the couple’s secret wedding ceremony that took place back in December, of course, they were extremely saddened to learn of Cyrus and Hemsworth most recent split.
While we have come to learn that the pair had more issues in their marriage than many of us would have guessed, the main question that now stands is what is next for this former celebrity couple?
According to a recent report from People, Miley Cyrus doesn’t have plans divorce Liam Hemsworth anytime soon as the pair feels as though being separated is what’s best for them at the moment.
“They are having a break right now because they needed it. It was a bad situation with a lot of disagreements,” a source close to Cyrus recently shared. “They both agreed it’s better to spend time apart, but this doesn’t mean their relationship is completely over.”
Seeing as though this isn’t the first time the couple “been in similar situations” and “found their way back together again,” many can assume that they haven’t completely ruled out the possibility of reconciliation.
“They are great together when they are happy,” the source shared. “There is absolutely hope that they will get back together again.”
Being separated will hopefully help their relationship
While their split comes as a shock to fans, it has been revealed that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been having issues in their marriage for the past few months.
According to TMZ, Cyrus has made countless attempts to try and save her and Hemsworth’s relationship by pushing them to go to therapy.
After trying to make their relationship work, a source close to the couple revealed that Hemsworth “didn’t come close to meeting her halfway,” which persuaded Cyrus to call it quits.
While fans are hopeful Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth will rekindle their romance in the near future, they are taking this time to focus on themselves.
Though Liam Hemsworth didn’t have much to say about the split, Miley Cyrus took to Instagram to share an empowering message about embracing change.
“Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win. Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa, change is inevitable,” Cyrus captioned two photos of herself with the beautiful scenery of Italian mountain ranges.
“The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed. My dad always told me ‘Nature never hurries but it is always on time’…. it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own,” she concluded.
Although we are happy a divorce might not be in the cards for them, it seems as though it will definitely be a while before Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth decide to reconcile.
