Wildflower Bar & Kitchen will close at the end of the business day Aug. 10 at 555 N. Casaloma Drive in Grand Chute.

“We just didn’t have to have the traffic to support the business,” said co-owner Rusty Leary. “That coupled with the bleak staffing situation was too much and we made the decision to close.”

The restaurant opened in March 2018 as Wildflower Pizzeria and went through a rebranding effort in April with the new name and diversified menu.

“We put a lot of effort into it. We received a great response and had some of the most loyal guests,” Leary said.

He said his 15 employees will get severance bonuses to stay on through the last day. If needed, he said they’ll assist employees looking for new jobs, though finding a job should not be difficult in the hospitality industry.

“Every restaurant within 10 miles is hiring for every position,” he said.

Gift cards and radio vouchers will be honored only through Aug. 10, he said.
