Mary’s Family Restaurant at 2312 N. Richmond St. in Appleton appears to be among the last to regain power. It was still dark Wednesday.
“They said it’s going to be on today, but they said that yesterday too,” said co-owner Tim Huth on Wednesday afternoon. “I’m just waiting for a phone call.”
He said they’d thrown out perishable food after the severe storm swept through the area Saturday and the restaurant lost power.
Once electricity is turned back on, his crew will go in to clean. He said it will take about 10 hours to get the coolers and freezers back down to safe temperatures and restocked with fresh food deliveries.
“The earliest we’ll be open will be Friday at 6 a.m.,” he said.
