Paul Rudd joins ‘Ghostbusters 2020’
MASS HYSTERIA! Paul Rudd has answered the call for “Ghostbusters 3,” a new sequel to the original movies starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis. “I love it. I’m a fan… as you can imagine I nearly slimed myself. I can’t wait to join the cast this fall for Ghostbusters…in fact, I’m sliming myself right now” Rudd joked in front of the iconic Firehouse, Hook & Ladder Company 8 building in New York. Jason Reitman, the son of the original 1984 film’s director Ivan Reitman, is helming the new movie tentatively titled “Ghostbusters 2020” with original cast members (including Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts) alongside new cast members like “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard and “Gifted” actress Mckenna Grace. The new “Ghostbusters,” expected to largely ignore the recent female-led reboot, will hit theaters July 10, 2020.
