What Lauren Bushnell’s engagement ring has in common with J.Lo and J.Law’s – Page Six
Newly engaged “Bachelor” alum Lauren Bushnell is sporting some new bling, and her fiancé Chris Lane chose a sparkler that is a favorite amongst Hollywood A-listers.
Emerald-cut engagement rings like Bushnell’s are “becoming increasingly popular,” according to Kathryn Money, VP of Strategy & Merchandising for Brilliant Earth, who pointed out that celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Lawrence also opted for the classic shape.
Money told Page Six Style that stars often gravitate toward elongated diamonds like emeralds, elongated cushions and ovals, because they “create a flattering look” by lengthening the wearer’s fingers.
Emerald-cut engagement rings can vary hugely in value; Lopez’s ring has an estimated worth of $1.8 million, but Money noted that Bushnell’s sparkler, like Lawrence’s, likely cost under six figures.
“Depending on the quality and specific characteristics of the diamond, we estimate the cost of the ring to be between $60,000 to $80,000,” Money said of the reality star’s new rock, which appears to feature a 3.5-carat center stone on a delicate, diamond-accented band.

It’s quite different from the ring Bushnell received the first time she got engaged, which played out on national television during the Season 20 finale of “The Bachelor.”
“When Ben Higgins popped the question in 2016, he did so with the biggest ring ever given in ‘Bachelor’ franchise history,” Money said. “The 4.25-carat Art Deco-style ring included ornate details, featuring a radiant-cut center diamond surrounded by over 240 round- and baguette-cut diamonds.”
However, Money added that Bushnell’s latest engagement ring appears to match her style more, saying, “Her ring from Chris is more contemporary and understated — and nicely complements Lauren’s down-to-earth personality.”
