Jennifer Lawrence is engaged to Cooke Maroney, her rep confirmed to E! News. The 28-year-old actress and 34-year-old New York art gallery director have been dating since June 2018 after reportedly being introduced by a mutual friend. Lawrence previously dated “X-Men” co-star Nicholas Hoult and director Darren Aronofsky, but has kept this relationship much more low-key, only recently stepping out with a “massive ring” on her finger. It’s unclear when or where they’ll get married, but ET reports Maroney’s parents own a farm in Vermont where he grew up that also hosts weddings.

Was James Brown murdered? A new CNN investigation reveals at least 13 people close to the legendary soul singer suspect he did not die of natural causes. Brown died Dec. 25, 2006, at age 73; his official cause of death was listed as congestive heart failure, resulting from complications of pneumonia. However, the doctor who treated Brown prior to his death believes it was an overdose — accidental or otherwise — because his condition “changed too fast.” Compiled with a constantly changing story from Brown’s manager, Charles Bobbit, and questions revolving the death of Brown’s third wife, Adrienne Brown, more than a dozen people are calling for his body to be exhumed for an autopsy to see if foul play occurred. The Brown family has not publicly commented.
