Emily Atack: I'm A Celebrity star is supported by Caroline Flack after emotional interview – Express
Emily Atack credited I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! for helping her get her confidence back after a “difficult year”.
The Inbetweeners star, who came second in the ITV reality show, said the jungle experience had changed her life.
Speaking to host Holly Willoughby, 37, and Declan Donnelly, 43, the 28-year-old began: “This place makes me cry all the time.
“It’s changed my life in so many ways. I came into this with a difficult start to the year. I didn’t know what I was doing.
“I have so much self acceptance [now]. I worry about things constantly at home. I realise I don’t have to do that.”
Her words resonated with Love Island host Caroline Flack, 39, who gushed about the actress on social media.
Sharing an image of Emily during her interview on her Instagram Story, Caroline swooned: “Aww love you @emilyatackoffical. I hear ya.”(sic)
During the finale show, Emily promised to never doubt herself again and said she “found new love and respect for myself”.
The TV star came runner-up to Harry Redknapp, who follows in the footsteps of previous winners such as Scarlett Moffatt and Gino D’Acampo.
After being crowned the King of the Jungle, Harry said: “My grandkids will be jumping around the living room now. They’ll be so excited.”
He also admitted he did not think he would stay in the jungle for long and praised his former camp mates for being “amazing”.
Before the father-of-two was crowned the winner of the hit ITV series, he said: “It’s been an unbelievable experience.”
But he said he struggled with the small food portions and thought the contestants would be well-fed with a “nice bit of grub” every night.
Although fans of the hit reality programme were delighted to see Harry win the show, they were disappointed ITV did not air his reunion with wife Sandra.
Generally, the campers are shown meeting their loved ones at the end of the bridge when they leave the Australian jungle.
However, ITV did not air the special moment Harry, 71, and his long-term partner Sandra reconnected at the end of the programme.
Taking to Twitter to complain about not seeing Harry meet Sandra, one fan wrote: “They just cut out the Harry and Sandra reunion!”
Another added: “Nooo we didn’t get to see the Harry and Sandra reunion. All hail King Harry though.”(sic)
A third commentator groaned: “Shame the programme finished early and we never got to see when Harry met Sandra.”
Someone else said: “You f*s @ITV how dare you cut off before we get to see Harry reunited with Sandra.”
