8.45am: Liverpool and Everton have reportedly made bids for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida.

Vida has been impressive in Croatia’s backline at the World Cup, helping his nation into the quarter-finals.

Turkish journalist Turgay Demir says Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton are now keen on the 29-year-old.

He posted on social media: “Everton and Liverpool have made an offer for Vida, €15m [£13m] has been proposed but Besiktas will not consider a bid below €20m [£20m].”

8.05am: Arsenal remain keen on Uruguay star Lucas Torreira – despite Unai Emery being keen on a deal for Andre Gomes.

The Independent report Emery wants the Barcelona star in a £30m transfer, but that won’t derail their plans to sign Torreira.

7.25am: Cristiano Ronaldo could be off to Juventus.

That’s according to Italian football reporter Gianluca DiMarzio.

He claims the Serie A giants are keen on getting the Real Madrid man on board – with Ronaldo himself up for a switch which could cost around £350m in total.

Palmer spent the second half of last season on loan at Pride Park Stadium.

Fellow Championship club Norwich have also reportedly made an offer to take the midfielder on loan.

3.55am: Dubai-based club Al Nasr have confirmed the signing of Yohan Cabaye on a two-year deal.

The 32-year-old midfielder was out of contract at Crystal Palace this summer, and speaking in May, said he was unsure over his future after three years at Selhurst Park.

Cabaye had been a regular feature in Roy Hodgson’s starting line-up last season, helping Palace secure Premier League safety with four wins in their final five matches.

2.25am: Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is eyeing up Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to reports.

Chelsea were heavily linked with the Chile midfielder in January but no bid ever materialised.

According to a report from Sport1, Atletico are strongly interested in Vidal – although they have not been quoted a price.

But considering the controversial figure only has one year left on his contract, any fee is unlikely to be above £25m.

12.15am: West Ham United are interested in taking centre-forward Roberto Inglese on loan from Napoli, according to Il Mattino newspaper.

The striker was bought from Chievo for £8.5m a year ago but left with the Flying Donkeys on loan for the rest of the season.

In the 2017-18 season, Inglese scored 12 Serie A goals in 34 games, also providing two assists.

Stoke have confirmed Lee Grant has left the club and moved to Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.

Grant is expected to be third-choice at Old Trafford behind David De Gea and Sergio Romero.

But it will mean Joel Pereira could leave United on loan for the upcoming season.

The news follows Sam Johnstone exiting permanently to West Brom earlier today.

5.30pm: Nabil Fekir to Liverpool could still be on despite Lyon tying down his brother to a new contract.

The French outfit announced at a press conference this afternoon that Yassin Fekir will stay at the club until 2020.

But in a surprising statement made by the club, Lyon have insisted they haven’t made the decision to try and keep Nabil.

Lyon bigwig Bruno Genesio said: “We extended [Yassin’s] deal because of what he can bring on the pitch, not to influence Nabil.

“He is a player with precision, who can play in practically every attacking position.

“He started well this morning, with good physical tests.”

And he believes Shaqiri could opt for the Saints over Liverpool as he would be guaranteed more first-team football.

“Shaqiri to my information is going to be available for around £8m after Stoke’s relegation, that could go up to £12m in add-ons,” McGarry said.

“There’s interest from Southampton, where of course he might consider because he would play more regularly.”

I’m looking forward to putting it on for the first time at Arsenal after the summer break!”
