Watch Amanda Mena's Golden Buzzer-Winning Performance on 'America's Got Talent'

On a night when the young class shone, Amanda Mena towered over her America’s Got Talent competitors.

Born in Dominican Republic and raised in Boston, the 15-year-old singer endured bullying at school for struggling with English. Now, she’s winning fans on the TV series’ judging panel and around the country with her striking rendition of “Natural Woman,” made famous by Aretha Franklin.

Mena’s poised, mature performance blew away the four judges. “This is an audition we’re going to remember for a long time,” Simon Cowell enthused.

Spice Girl Mel B took it to the next level. “Oh my gosh, where do I start,” she said. “That was just incredible. I’ve got all goose pimples all over, it’s just crazy. I love you, I love your voice, and this is what I’m going to say to all those bullies…” and with that, she activated the golden buzzer. Cue confetti and hugs and tears.

Mena now progresses straight to the live rounds. Watch all the magic unfold below.
