Heather Locklear hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation
Heather Locklear was hospitalized for a psych evaluation after a family member claimed the star had threatened to kill herself, TMZ reports.
According to the 911 dispatch call, which was obtained by the website, the family member called in and said Locklear, 56, was trying to hurt herself and “looking for a gun to shoot herself.” It was also noted that the actress did not have access to a weapon.
A representative for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office told Page Six they responded to a call at the 4900 block of Summit View Drive around 3:50 p.m. on Sunday. Although they could not confirm Locklear’s name, we’re told someone was transported to the hospital and that no crime had been committed.
In February, Locklear was arrested for domestic violence during a fight with her boyfriend Chris Heisser. The Daily Mail reported at the time that Locklear punched two police officers. She was charged with a felony count of domestic violence and three counts of misdemeanor battery on a peace officer. The charges were dropped in March.
Locklear entered rehab for the fifth time in January 2017. She told Page Six at the time, “I am feeling great and am taking steps to enrich and better my life.”
A rep for Locklear did not immediately return our request for comment.
