A man pointed and shot what appeared to be a gun at several patrons of a Central El Paso bar, but no bullets were fired and no one was hurt, police said.

The incident happened at about 12:51 a.m. Thursday at Love Buzz, 3011 Pershing Drive, an El Paso Police Department spokesman said.

“According to witnesses, the man was asked to leave the bar, which he did but returned later with what was believed to be a gun,” Sgt. Enrique Carrillo said. “He pointed the gun and fired at several people. Nobody was struck and there was no damage.”

Witnesses told officers they believed the weapon was a cap gun, and no one wanted to press charges, Carrillo said.

Some of the patrons posted their reactions on Twitter.

“There was an active shooter at Love Buzz but we all were evacuated so everyone should be okay!” wrote a user by the name of Brianna L. Hawkins.
