Watch more than 30 movies by moonlight this summer

Summer calls for taking your activities outside as much as possible, and a movie by moonlight is a prime example. Six institutions around Boston will offer free movies throughout the summer months — all free of charge. Peruse the list below.
Boston Harbor Hotel Movies by Moonlight
As part of the hotel’s Summer in the City Entertainment Series, these 12 films will be screened starting at dusk. Guests can also enjoy al fresco dining at the waterfront setting at Rowes Wharf Sea Grille or The Harborwalk Terrace.

MFA Sunset Cinema
Between June 20 and Sept. 13, the Museum of Fine Arts will host free monthly movies on its Huntington Avenue lawn. The movies will start around sunset, and live music, art making, and lawn games will kick off 90 minutes beforehand. Beer, wine, and snacks will be available for purchase.

Take a lawn chair or blanket to the Esplanade for the 33rd season of this summer movie series. Free games and giveaways by WBZ News Radio 1030 will start at 6 p.m.

Magic 106.7 Family Film Festival at the Prudential Center
This film festival will return to the Prudential Center starting July 7 with a lineup of popular family-friendly flicks on Saturday evenings. Entertainment, children’s activities, and giveaways will start at 6 p.m., and the movies will begin at sundown.

Summer on the Emerald Necklace Fenway Movie Night
The Emerald Necklace Conservancy is holding its one-night-only summer film in the Fenway Victory Gardens again this year. Moviegoers will have the chance to choose which film they watch through a poll on the conservancy’s Facebook page.
