Ariana Grande & Pete Davidson: An Engagement Playlist

After a whirlwind month of love, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are engaged.

The news comes after observant fans spotted a ring on Ari’s finger in a selfie she posted with her brother and grandmother. To congratulate the lovebirds, Billboard has compiled a list of love songs from their favorite artists. See below for the ultimate “Petriana” playlist.

Tattooed Heart – Ariana Grande
Just one week ago, Davidson got two new Ari-inspired tats to add to his ink collection–her initials on his wrist and her iconic Dangerous Woman bunny ears on his head, which aligns with the song’s lyrics: “Just as long as I’m the name/On your tattooed heart.”

I Just Called to Say I Love You – Stevie Wonder
Grande collaborated with Wonder in 2016 for “Faith,” off the Sing soundtrack. No better man than Wonder to ring in the wedding bells for Ari and Pete, and “I Just Called to Say I Love You” feels like the perfect background track for the couple’s adorable Instagram comments.

Emotions – Mariah Carey
Back in 2012, Ari did a cover of this Carey classic, nailing the whistles at the bridge. Little did she know, six years later she’d be feeling “emotions deeper than she ever dreamed of” with the SNL star.

Hold On, We’re Going Home – Drake
Davidson loves some Drizzy, and he happens to be the No. 1 rapper most likely to get all lovey-dovey. “Hold On, We’re Going Home” opens with the line that seems to sum up Davidson’s feelings about Grande: “I got my eyes on you/You’re everything that I see.”

Bad Things – Machine Gun Kelly & Camila Cabello
The comedian’s bestie Machine Gun Kelly released this gem in 2017, and it describes a love just as meteoric as Pete and Ari’s.

Like a Virgin – Madonna
Both Grande and Davidson got out of long term relationships before stumbling into each other. They fell for each other quickly, probably feeling a kind of love they’ve never felt before. Madonna captures the feeling in this 1984 hit.

Love. – Kid Cudi
In a 2016 interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, Davidson revealed that Cudi’s music saved his life. “I would’ve killed myself,” he said. “Absolutely. 100 percent. I truly believe if Man on the Moon didn’t come out, I wouldn’t be here.”

Your Love – Nicki Minaj
Minaj and Grande are collaboration queens, making fans everywhere shout the lyrics to “Bang, Bang” whenever it comes on at a club. Their latest effort, “Bed,” will appear on Grande’s forthcoming album, Sweetener. Maybe the two music icons can team up again at the wedding to perform this song together.

Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart – Judy Garland
Ari is such a huge fan of Garland, she impersonated her impeccably, funny enough, on Saturday Night Live. “Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart” fits her love with her fiance and her love of music: “Dear when you smiled at me, I heard a melody/It haunted me from the start/Something inside of me started a symphony.”

I Will Always Love You – Whitney Houston
To end the engagement playlist, Houston’s greatest hit captures everlasting love–and also happens to be another song Grande sang on SNL.
