Asheville Veganfest celebrates healthy lifestyle, vegan products

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) —

Eating healthy and getting information about a meat-free diet: On Sunday, people gathered in Pack Square for Veganfest.

The event showcased more than 100 vendors with food, beer, lifestyle products and much more–all vegan.

The theme this year, “Save the animals, save the earth,” explores the effects of meat on animals, wildlife, our environment, and climate change.

“We’re just very fortunate to have such a progressive, awesome, community that we are able to do this,” said organizer Courtney Zurcher.

Proceeds from Asheville Veganfest benefit the Brother Wolf Animal Sanctuary.
