Roseanne Barr has canceled her scheduled appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast, the comedian said Friday.
“The Roseanne podcast is not happening today,” Rogan tweeted. “She’s not doing well and doesn’t want to travel, and she’s gone radio silent on me, so I’m just going to step away. The whole thing has been pretty brutal on her, and I hope she can find some peace.”

“Don’t feel sorry for me, guys!! – I just want to apologize to the hundreds of people, and wonderful writers (all liberal) and talented actors who lost their jobs on my show due to my stupid tweet. I will be on Joe Rogan’s podcast friday,” Barr said on Tuesday after her sitcom was canceled by ABC. The tweet has since been deleted.
“Roseanne” was canceled on Tuesday after the title star sent out a racist tweet about Barack Obama’s former adviser Valerie Jarrett. “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj,” Barr wrote.
“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey said in a statement to TheWrap on Tuesday.

Barr apologized before ABC’s statement on Tuesday, saying that her statement suggesting that former Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett is a product of the Muslim Brotherhood and the “Planet of the Apes” was a “joke” that was “in bad taste.”
“I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks,” Barr said. “I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste.”
The “Roseanne” star’s tweet caused swift backlash on Twitter, and consulting producer Wanda Sykes said she would not be returning to the sitcom on Tuesday morning. Executive producer and co-star Sara Gilbert said that Barr’s comments are “abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show.”
Barr was also dropped by her talent agency, ICM Partners, Tuesday over the remarks, which they found “disgraceful and unacceptable.”
Reruns of “Roseanne” were also pulled from Viacom’s Paramount Network, TV Land and CMT, as well as Laff digital network and Hulu.
