Kim Kardashian Drags Rhymefest While Defending Kanye West

Kim Kardashian went into mama bear mode to defend her husband Kanye West on Saturday (May 26).

After Che “Rhymefest” Smith — former ‘Ye songwriter and creative director of West’s non-profit Donda’s House — accused West of saying “fuck the youth of Chicago” when seeking help in rebuilding the organization, the reality television queen fired back.

“U haven’t been right since u got kicked out of the studio in Hawaii wearing fake Yeezy’s @RHYMEFEST,” Kardashian wrote. “You’re over [sic] Kanye’s name & asked Kanye to donate money to u so stop w your fake community politics & lies. Truth is you haven’t been able to sustain the foundation.”

“I saw you at our studio a few weeks ago so why didn’t you bring this up then @RHYMEFEST ?” she continued. “You were trying to get Kanye to listen to your sub par beats. You have the audacity to use Kanye’s mom name to try to shead a negative light on Kanye.”

Kardashian wasn’t done there. She then accused Rhymefest of pulling a Harry Houdini during the making of 2016’s The Life Of Pablo and declared her new mission was to have her children — Saint, North and Chicago — run Donda’s House correctly.

“You didn’t say this when Kanye paid you up front then you disappeared during Pablo #RealFriends,” she tweeted. “You better believe I will make it my mission to take Donda’s House from you and let my children run it the way it should be run!”

The 36-year-old reality star brought her Twitter tirade to a close by suggesting Rhymefest isn’t good enough to be on ‘Ye’s forthcoming solo album and apologizing to her fans for tweeting about (essentially) a nobody.

“Oh and lastly your flight cancelled to Wyoming,” she concluded. “You thought you were really worthy to be on this album. Sorry to all my followers for flooding my timeline I know you have no idea who Rhymefest is.”

Sorry to all of my followers for flooding my timeline I know you have no idea who Rhymefest is.

But that wasn’t the end of it. Rhymefest quickly responded to Kardashian’s Twitter rant with a statement of his own.

“I don’t care if no one on your timeline knows who I am,” he wrote. “The people in my community and in my city do, and that’s what truly matters to me. Your husband and I have been in correspondence for the last two months, which as you stated, even you saw me in the studio recently.

Kanye asked me if I could come help him with his album again. I was seeking Kanye…he was seeking me. I spoke to your husband about peace, and balance, as well as the work that we have been doing in Chicago regarding Donda’s House. He was more interested in his record.”

Rhymefest also implored Kardashian to get involved albeit with a light dusting of salt.

“Foot the bill as we have done, for youth to record or contact more of your famous friends to actually come sit down with the youth.”

Rhymefest went on to say he’d “welcome” Kardashian and West dissolving the organization to do it themselves.

Donda’s House was named after West’s mother, Dr. Donda West, who passed away in 2009 from a heart attack.

Since West’s recent controversial behavior, which includes his blatant support of Donald Trump and the “slavery is a choice” comment, Donda’s House was worried the negative attention would affect the organization.

In a statement, the non-profit wrote, “We ask that as you boycott and protest Kanye West, that you not forget that we are a non-profit organization that like other non-profits needs donations, corporate support and volunteers. We do not want your rejection of Kanye West, to be a rejection of Dr. Donda West and the thousands of lives she impacted including her own son.”
