Royal wedding: Everything we know about the evening reception
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had the ultimate wedding goals, here’s the best moments.

After the choir sang, the vows were exchanged and the couple kissed, it was time to party! When we last saw Prince Harry and the new Duchess of Sussex, they hopped in a silver-blue 1968 Jaguar E-type and drove off to a more intimate sitdown dinner for 200. Meghan even debuted a second wedding dress designed by Stella McCartney.
But what happened after that at the final, intimate celebration? Here are details we’ve gathered from Kensington Palace announcement and social media posts.

Prince Charles served as host
Prince Harry’s father, who walked the bride down the aisle, hosted the evening party at the estate at Frogmore House. That’s the same residence where Meghan and Harry took their engagement photos.
Guests changed clothes
Serena Williams traded in the blush longsleeve dress and fascinator she donned for the wedding ceremony, and into an ensemble with a flower-print skirt for the reception (and sneakers). Her husband, Alexis Ohanian, swapped his suit for a tux.
Priyanka Chopra had a purple Vivienne Westwood dress and coat for the ceremony, but then opted for a sparkly Dior gown for the reception.
The Royal Family thanked everyone

We imagine guests were thanked in person, but we know that well-wishers were acknowledged on social media, with this tweet: “Thank you to everyone who came to Windsor and those who followed from around the UK, the Commonwealth, and the world today. Congratulations once again to the newly-married Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
Idris Elba reportedly served as DJ

According to the Telegraph, the actor was spinning soul tunes at one point in the evening. Elba has mixed dance music before.
The bride’s bouquet got a special resting place
As is tradition, Duchess of Sussex’s bridal bouquet was laid in Westminster Abbey’s Grave of the Unknown Warrior after the wedding.
The tradition of Royal brides sending their bouquet to the Grave was started by the future Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. The bouquet of The Duchess of Cambridge was placed on the Grave in 2011: https://t.co/HuaKTBMGMm#RoyalWeddingpic.twitter.com/CuxQiOqYSX

Meghan debuted a new jewel
Kensington Palace did not release details, but photographs showed Markle wearing to the evening reception a large, emerald-cut aquamarine ring that Diana wore often before she died in a Paris car crash in 1997.
Fireworks lit up the sky
Photos from Windsor show an elaborate fireworks display entertained guests.
