A Muslim superhero is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Plenty of movies are ahead in the MCU after next year’s “Captain Marvel” and “Avengers 4,” and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is hinting that Ms. Marvel, the alter-ego of a young Muslim woman named Kamala Khan, is next. “Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort of in the works,” Feige told the BBC. “We have plans for that once we’ve introduced Captain Marvel to the world.” It’s unclear if she’d get her own movie or appear alongside others, but fan buzz is building — especially after learning that a female-led reboot of ‘Greatest American Hero’ starring ‘New Girl’ actress Hannah Simone was axed.
