The Met Gala was only on Monday, but we’re already excited for more drama on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. With the glamorous yachts, countless celebrities, and, hopefully, a few couture looks, it’s one of our favorite events. The past couple of years, we’ve seen a mix of newcomers and vets who have captured the spotlight, like Bella Hadid in a stunning red thigh-high Alexandre Vauthier gown, and red-carpet queens Rihanna, in Christian Dior couture, and Naomi Campbell in custom Atelier Versace.
Day one this year started in a major way with Julianne Moore practically blowing everyone else out of the water in a Givenchy Haute Couture red cape gown. Day two has brought us Lupita Nyong’o in a ruched Miu Miu look and Carey Mulligan in a stunning minimalist Christian Dior Haute Couture gown. See all of them and more in the gallery below.
