Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are not planning to star in a movie together, despite a tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s completely untrue.
According to NW, not only are the ex-spouses back together romantically, but they’re also in the process of “bringing their love to the big screen.” A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Jen and Brad love the idea of them finally starring together in a movie,” adding, “Back when they were married they used to pick each other’s scripts and give each other pointers.” The tabloid’s supposed insider maintains that Pitt and Aniston “have a bunch of old scripts in the archives that they’d planned to work on together, which they’re now dusting off and looking at.”
The publication ends its piece by referencing an In Touch report about Aniston having recently moved into Pitt’s Pacific Palisades home. Gossip Cop, however, quickly debunked that nonsense when it first emerged last week. As we’ve repeatedly noted, the exes haven’t rekindled a romance. Reps for both stars have told us several times that they haven’t reunited. Several other reputable outlets have reported this as well, including People, which recently published an article revealing that Pitt and Aniston “haven’t seen each other in ages.”
While NW contends Pitt and Aniston are reading through “old scripts,” the magazine offers no insight into what any of these supposed screenplays are about, such as plot lines or even genres. While the magazine hides behind an unnamed and untraceable “source,” Aniston’s rep tells Gossip Cop on the record the actress is not doing a movie with her ex-huband.
It’s worth noting, this fictional premise isn’t even original. In March 2017, HollywoodLife also alleged Pitt and Aniston would do a movie together. At the time, her rep assured Gossip Cop the claim was a “fabrication” and that “there are no projects that Jennifer is considering with Brad.”
Additionally, the two are very busy with several projects that do not involve one another. Aniston will soon be co-starring with Adam Sandler in the Netflix comedy Murder Mystery, and she’s also attached to star opposite Reese Witherspoon in a new Apple TV series. Meanwhile, Pitt is about to start shooting Quentin Tarantino’s new movie, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, after which he’s expected to start production on the sequel to World War Z.
Not only are they 100 percent not teaming up on movie, but with all their professional commitments, it’s not even feasible they’d have time to work on a film together at this time. Still, Yahoo! picked up the false report. Interestingly, the outlet noted that it had reached out to reps for the two stars. And while some outlets can’t get answers, as stated above, Gossip Cop heard directly from Aniston’s spokesperson, who exclusively told us it’s not true.
