WrestleMania is the biggest day on the wrestling calendar every year, but for many fans and wrestlers, the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony is the most enjoyable part of the weekend.

There may not be a physical Hall of Fame, but that hasn’t stopped WWE from honoring dozens of athletes who helped shape the business.

Let’s take a look at everything you need to know about Friday’s event, according to WWE.com.

Venue: Smoothie King Center in New Orleans

Start Time: 8 p.m. ET (main show), 7 p.m. ET (Red Carpet)

How to Watch: WWE Network

This Year’s Class

WWE always selects a wide variety of personalities for each Hall of Fame class, and this year is no different.

Bill Goldberg will headline the event and be inducted by none other than Paul Heyman, the man who manages Goldberg’s last opponent.

Here is a look at the full list of inductees:

  • Goldberg to be inducted by Paul Heyman.
  • The Dudley Boyz to be inducted by Edge and Christian.
  • Ivory to be inducted by Molly Holly.
  • Jeff Jarrett will be inducted by Road Dogg.
  • Mark Henry will be inducted by Big Show.
  • Hillbilly Jim will be inducted by Jimmy Hart.
  • Kid Rock will be inducted into the celebrity wing.

WWE will also present The Warrior Award to Jarrius “JJ” Robertson. Dana Warrior has been there to give out the award every year, but WWE has not confirmed if she will be in attendance at this year’s ceremony yet.

What to Expect

The HOF ceremony is unique because everyone sheds their character for the night to properly honor those being inducted.

Maria Menounos is back to host the red carpet coverage before the main show begins. This will continue a long partnership between WWE and Menounos during WrestleMania weekend.

She has always done a great job keeping things light and asking the right questions, but she has been known to succumb to her own love of WWE when in the presence of certain legends. It always makes for some fun moments before the real event begins.

The format for the ceremony has remained largely unchanged in recent years. A video package will play, someone will come out and tell a few stories before bringing out the person being inducted to tell a few more.

The only problem the company has run into at past events is the runtime. WWE legends can be longwinded on occasion, so the show has routinely run more than an hour over its originally scheduled length.

Then again, that’s part of the fun. If this was the Academy Awards, music would start playing when someone was running out of time. WWE gives people as much time as they need to tell their story properly.

It will be a night of laughs, tears and more than a few interesting tales from the road.
