Back To The Future – Film 4 – 18:45

“Great Scott!”

Skyfall – ITV2 – 19:30

Daniel Craig’s best Bond movie. End of discussion.

Lethal Weapon – ITV4 – 21:00

Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are a perfect duo in this action-comedy-thriller, before they literally did get too old for this shit.

Documentary on the life of Mattress Mick, a bedding mogul from Dublin who is always looking for a new and improved way to promote his goods.

SUNDAY 1 APRIL

Shaun The Sheep – BBC One – 12:40

Practically a silent movie, but still one of the best family-friendly movies of the last decade, involving a country sheep getting lost in the big city.

Jumanji – Sky One – 15:00

Before The Rock rebooted it, we had this kinda scary one with Robin Williams stuck in the boardgame for decades, and two kids who accidentally release him (and the creepy British hunter) back into the real world.

Dumbo – Channel 4 – 16:00

Despite being released in 1941, we still can’t talk about this Disney classic without getting emotional.

The Addams Family – Comedy Central – 18:00

Spot on casting and a darker-than-dark sense of humour made sure that this is still one of the best movies-based-on-TV-shows ever made.

Back To The Future Part II – Film 4 – 18:55

“Great Scott”, but again, and in the future.

Commando – Film 4 – 21:00

Arnie’s daughter is kidnapped by a chainmail and leather wearing bad guy, so Arnie is going to kill literally everyone he meets until he gets her back.

Spectre – ITV2 – 21:00

The follow-up to Skyfall couldn’t match those giddy heights, but Christoph Waltz gives good Bond villain, and the opening Mexico set-piece is still pretty spectacular.

Jaws – ITV4 – 21:00

“We’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

Green Mile – Channel 4 – 22:05

Tom Hanks in the Stephen King prison drama, aka the movie pretty much scientifically designed to make sure you’re bawling your eyes out by the closing credits.

Selma – BBC Two – 23:00

Powerful based-on-true-events civil rights drama, starring David Oyelowo as Martin Luther King Jnr, and the march he organised to support the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford – ITV4 – 23:25

Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck star in one of the best movies of the last 10 years that nobody went to see. We did a full write up on it here.

This is perfect for Easter. Check it out…
