Yes, Savannah your microphone is definitely working.

Today show host Savannah Guthrie took to Twitter Wednesday to apologize for accidentally swearing on live TV, when she wasn’t aware that her microphone was working. (Her utterance rhymes with “kit.” We’ll let your imagination take it from there.)

“Check, check, is this thing on?” Guthrie wrote, pretending to test her mic. “So sorry, guys. Thanks for being kind and understanding. And guess it’s a good thing I don’t wear a mic all day.”

She signed off with the live TV-appropriate hashtag: #ohdarn.

It was saltier language that was on display during the Wednesday morning broadcast when a seemingly unaware Guthrie swore (the clip below has the offending word bleeped).

Guthrie didn’t appear to know that she was on camera as she examined papers and may not have even known the swear went out live at first.

But she did kindly apologize to the sound guys right away, saying, “Sorry guys.”
