'Stranger Things' stars in spotlight with new Season 3 buzz

It will be months until Season 3 of “Stranger Things” is out, but the show grabbed the spotlight at two events last weekend in Los Angeles.

On Saturday, the cast’s young stars showed up at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, walking off with the prizes for favorite TV show and favorite TV actress (Millie Bobby Brown).

The 14-year-old Brown showed up in denim with a political message: The back of her shirt bore a “March For Our Lives” legend and the names of the shooting victims from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

On Sunday, the “Stranger Things” bunch were the headliners at PaleyFest, a television festival at the Paley Center for Media.

At the event, executive producer Shawn Levy revealed that the third season would take place during the summer of 1985, with a “Back to the Future” tie-in, the Hollywood Reporter said. Production on the season begins this month, Levy added. A release date has not been announced.
