Created for kids 2 to 4 years old, “Hurry Up and Wait” tells the story of two very different siblings who decide to plant a garden. Harry loves to take his time and has no problem waiting to see the vegetables and flowers grow, but his younger sister Wendy is a different story. Movie Mondays at Yard Bar. With nicer weather back in Austin, one of the city’s most dog-friendly bars is hosting a weekly movie night. The theme for March’s Movie Mondays is the 1990s — films made during that decade. “Loving Vincent.” The Austin Film Society is screening this Academy Award-nominated film for a couple more days this month. “Loving Vincent” chronicles the life and controversial death of artist Vincent van Gogh, as told by his paintings and by the characters that inhabit them. “Paved Paradise” at Women and Their Work. Julie Libersat’s solo show explores symmetry and patterns within the landscape of today’s capitalistic society, using an interactive video installation to present consumption as a modern form of worship. Destination Mexico: Veracruz dinner at Alcomar. The latest dining series at Latin seafood restaurant Alcomar gives a tour of chefs Alma Alcocer and Jeff Martinez’s favorite Mexican regions, including Oaxaca and Tuesday’s focus on Veracruz. These dinners will delve into the distinct flavors and ingredients found in each state, with a focus on coastal cuisine.
