Park district, chamber plan ribbon cutting

Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Services and Seneca County Park District are to celebrate the park district’s new office at 9 a.m. today at 3362 S. TR 151. An open house is to follow until 4:30 p.m.

Free genealogy website class at HPLM

FREMONT — The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums is to host a free genealogy website class at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The cost is $10 per person.

Head Librarian Becky Hill is to host the class and explain how to use internet resources, including the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums’ Ohio Obituary Index.

ORBS to host museum fundraising event

Ohio Researchers of Banded Spirits are to host a fundraising event for The American Civil War Museum starting at 8:15 p.m. March 31.

ORBS was founded in 2007 and claims scientific validation of hauntings in seven states and more than 400 investigations. ORBS has been featured on Animal Planet, Biography Channel, History Channel, Destination America and even Japan TV.

Only 30 spots are available. The cost is $27.97 per person.
