Watch Blue Ivy Bid $19000 Alongside JAY-Z and Beyonce at LA Art Auction
Blue Ivy Carter might be the world’s youngest fine art collector.
On Saturday (March 17), the 6-year-old daughter of JAY-Z and Beyonce made several pricey bids during the second annual Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles, which benefited the WACO Theater Center in L.A.
At one point during the evening, Blue Ivy, who was sitting between her superstar parents, bid $19,000 on an acyclic painting of Sidney Poitier, Vanity Fair reports. JAY-Z comically tried taking away the paddle as Tyler Perry made the winning bid for $20,000.

“Her mother and father have been talking about how you gather art and that is a big deal for African Americans,” host Star Jones told the crowd. “Listen, you know Ms. Tina told me all of this. Why you think I’m up here talking about it?”
The night wasn’t a total bust for Blue Ivy, who wore a gold dress like her mother. The budding art collector placed a $10,000 winning bid for an art piece by Samuel Levi Jone. Meanwhile, Beyonce walked away with a $17,000 set of Lorraine Schwartz panther earrings.
Saturday’s event was organized by Tina Knowles and her husband, Richard Lawson. Beyonce and JAY-Z, along with his mother, Gloria Carter, were recognized for their humanitarian work.
