Looking at NCAA Tournament brackets from experts, celebrities
Back to Gallery
Browsing through NCAA Tournament brackets from an assortment of so-called college basketball experts as well as a few celebrities, it looks like no one really believes in the Texas teams.
Of the expert and celebrity brackets we found, only two – ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament – picked the University of Houston to make it to the second round.
If you want to get political, Barack Obama has Texas and Texas Tech going further in his bracket than John McCain has in his bracket. However, McCain does pick TCU to go all the way to the Sweet 16, while Obama has the Horned Frogs being eliminated in the first round.
Not surprisingly, none of the brackets we found have Texas Southern beating top-seeded Xavier, and only one picks Stephen F. Austin to upset Texas Tech.
